Yes, we are still here, not given up yet! Life has been smacking us in the face a bit more than usual lately, so not much time for drawing.
This comic is based on a family trip to the zoo, that went pretty much as shown. I’m all for animal welfare and conservation, but it’s not exactly a fun day out if you don’t see any animals!
I wrote this one back in February, just as we were getting started on our new venture. Today seemed like a good day to finally use it. Be careful out there on Black Friday, shopping can be a very dangerous activity!!
In the midst of all things Star Wars, I wanted to take a moment to remember my first Sci-Fi love, Star Trek. When I was young, Monday nights meant cold meat (left -over from Sunday’s roast), salad and Star Trek. Thank you mum for being a fellow Trekkie, and persuading dad to let us watch it!
We gave our youngest son the middle initial of T so that he would be James T. in honour of Captain Kirk. We worried that he might not be pleased when he found out – but now he says he wishes we had gone the whole hog and made his middle name Tiberius! Live Long and Prosper, Sci-Fi!!
Steve is super competitive when it comes to games – he wouldn’t even let the kids win when they were little! I am fairly rubbish at games, so when I find one that I can play – and win – I have to make the most of it! I also used to be the Queen of Dragon Dice and had an impressive army of Coral Elves, but for some reason, nobody wanted to play anymore!!
(Steve is convinced that no one else will have heard of Munchkin or Dragon Dice, so I would be grateful for any comments to prove him wrong!)
Apart from the bit about the names, this is pretty much the conversation I had with my three year old grandaughter earlier this year, when her little sister was born. The new baby is not called Emily, by the way, but much more importantly, she isn’t called Kevin!
I DO love a good spy film! The fast cars, the gadgets, but let’s face it – a neatly packed weekend bag is about as close as I’m going to get! Anyway, much more importantly, a new cast member will be joining our comic strip very soon so watch this space…
Yay! It’s our six month anniversary, and we’d like to say a big fat THANK YOU to our merry little band of Caz supporters.
We are grateful for all the comments, messages, retweets, fav’s, likes – and to any one who is kind to us on Reddit! We have now made 60 posts, and below are the ones that seem to have done the best.
This first list shows the 5 comic strips that got the most views from visitors to our site:
- Film Night
- I’ve got tickets (to somewhere exciting)
- On the beach
- Carry my bag
The second list shows the 5 that got the most likes from the WordPress bloggers:
- A good read
- Take a photo, take a photo!
- I must go
- Can you help me?
As you can see, completely different top 5’s, which I guess reflects the different audiences that are reading our comic strip.
If you want to send a message you can find me on Twitter ( a lot, ok, I admit it!). If you want to see the bloke’s eye view of the partnership, Steve does all the comments on Reddit.
To all of you, Bloggers, Redditors, Twitterers (Tweeters?), friends, family and strangers that stumble across us on the internet, we hope you will keep reading and we will do our best to keep you entertained.
